Legitimacy of The Drugs Rehabs

What are drug recovery treatments? Is drug recovery possible via deter or just holistic treatment? What guarantees are provided by drug rehab centers? Is there any short term cure for drug addiction? What is the percentage success rate of drug recovery plans?

These are all the questions that several drug rehab programs want you to think about. Drug recovery programs are marketed in such a way that they make a person unconsciously think all the above mentioned questions. They market in a such a way that the addict or his well wishers are more or less are forced to consider the above mentioned irrelevant factors rather than thinking about the things that really matter. This strategy or such strategies are mostly used by drug recovery programs which are a farce or a scam.
Many drug recovery programs are exactly that!

Now the question arises that what classifies as a drug recovery scam.  A Drug recovery scam is one which markets false statistics, claims, and provides guarantees, and lures them using the aforementioned strategy. Plans which solely focus on a certain type of treatment and claim cure via a single individual method, without providing any verified supporting figures.  This also involves plans that do not provide their patients authentic research behind their treatment plan.

Another type of drug recovery scam includes programs which are repetitive in nature. Such programs are applied to each and every patient. Patients are not given specialized treatment and are not individually assessed. The same treatment is provided to all. Similarly drug treatments that are static and are not changed with changing needs can be classified as a scam.  Just like any other form of treatment drug recovery treatment needs to be changed with respect to the given situation.

Treatments that are mentioned above are, classified as farce or drug recovery scams, simply because they are regressive in nature and are more harmful than helpful for recovering addicts. One of the worst forms of scams incorporate treatment plans, which refute the idea of a cure and try to teach their patients to cope with their physiological state. Such programs focus on avoiding stimulants that may trigger drug abuse.

However there are unique drug recovery programs that try their best to avoid the stigma of being dubbed as a scam. Narconon Fresh Start can be referred as one such example. It focuses on a long term cure; obtained via flexible holistic treatments, which incorporate physical therapy, mental and behavioral cognitive therapy, and social interaction therapy.

Narconon Fresh Start doesn’t focus on a sole aspect of drug recovery treatment. It rather has a three pronged battled plan to overcome the physiological effects of drug use, social aspects, and physical affects. Narconon Fresh Start focuses on the individual needs of the patient and changes the treatment plan with time, to reach the desired results. Over the years, Narconon has become known for a success rate greater than 70%, a figure which has been institutionally verified.

The right questions to ask before, enrolling you or a loved in a drug recovery program, are about their methods of treatment, duration of treatment; ask for background information regarding the proposed treatment plan.  Ask how and why? Get a background check done on the program plan. Ask others about their opinion and mentally prepare yourself for an arduous task.
